In the Starbound Game, players explore a procedurally generated universe with many planets and space systems to visit. Explore your way through dungeons, fight tough monsters, mine for ore and gems, and use the materials you find on your journey to craft new items.
The first thing you’ll need to do is take care of yourself by crafting clothes or armor from animal hides or metals mined from nearby mountains. From there, it’s up to you what kind of hero you want to be! If you’re going to be an explorer, let’s do it at Frongames now.
Released on November 20, 2014 (15 months ago), Starbound is an action-adventure video game developed and published by Chucklefish Games. Starbound’s development started in early 2013 by two people. First the programmer, Laura, then the artist/designer, Tiy. The music composer of this game is Curtis Schweitzer. Starbound is a two-dimensional graphical game.
Step 1: The first thing you have to do is choose your character, then customize your look. You can also choose a pet that will help you in battle and follow you around the shipyard.
Step 2: As soon as you start the game, you will appear on a spaceship, so you must visit your ship quickly. Your boat is where you will store most of your items, so you must get back there frequently.
Step 3: When you start the game for the first time, go to your ship. Then choose a planet to explore. The surface will be different and populated by monsters and strange creatures with other costumes on, help yourself from them!!!
Step 4: It’s easy to get lost in this game, but that’s part of the fun. The exploration and discovery are part of the appeal of Starbound. However, if you need a little help or want to know where to go next after completing significant quests, there’s always a reference guide on frongames like this one.
Step 5: When you have enough materials, you can return to your ship and build some new items. Now you are ready for the next mission and more adventures with the Starbound online game.
1. Look around. The first thing you should do is look for stuff like trees, animals, and rocks. Break them down with your pickaxe to get some wood, hide, or ore.
2. This game has a lot of procedurally generated dungeons. For example, the dark ones are tough because they can spawn strong monsters and have more potent and better weapons for you to find.
3. Take time to explore. You might have a quest marker pointed in the general direction of where you should be headed, but often there are tons of things to see along the way.
4. If you meet someone friendly, don’t be afraid to talk with them! They may give you quests or just tell you about some hidden area on an otherwise uninhabited planet. They can also be a good source of information, such as saying which planets are more likely to have rare items.
Starbound offers several features that give it excellent replay value. You start in your ship with a mission to escape the solar system by finding three pieces of a shield. Once you get those, you can move on to other areas such as a desert or the arctic regions of your home planet.
The game is very randomly generated so that no two planets are alike; they all have their storylines and missions. One thing I find unique about this game is that they have daytime and nighttime cycles.
You can choose to sleep in a bed at night, so the temperature doesn’t affect you as much, but if you don’t, your character will automatically do so if the sun goes down or when he becomes sleepy.
I like this because it adds another dimension of needing shelter while also making sleeping more meaningful than just a means of passing the time.
Starbound’s soundtrack is one of the best aspects of this game. You’ll have to play it yourself for an idea, but it’s worth buying just for that reason alone (I bought two copies because I liked it so much).
It fits perfectly with the setting and gives you a lot of motivation to quest and adventure throughout the day and night.
Overall, Starbound is a very engaging game with great replay value because of its randomly generated nature. It’s also easy to get into but challenging enough to keep you coming back for more! Have fun!
