Bravely Default is an RPG game for Nintendo 3DS, released in Japan on October 11, 2012. The game features four different protagonists who are sent to the world of Luxendarc by a mysterious man named Brave Lee.
There they will find themselves exploring a variety of dungeons and fighting enemies with turn-based combat. Players can also talk to villagers and interact with various objects found in the environment. Frongames will cover some tips that players may encounter as they adventure through this classic Japanese RPG!
The game itself is set in the world of Luxendarc. The main protagonist, whose name depends on your gender, wakes up in a small town on a remote island only to find that everyone has suddenly disappeared. A man named Brave Lee then appears before them and tells them that they were summoned here from another world and must journey to Luxendarc to return home.
There are four main protagonists, which the player can choose two from. They consist of Agnès Oblige, Tiz Arrior, Edea Lee and Ringabel.
Each character has personality traits and abilities and an extraordinary power called Bravely Second. Those who have played remakes of Final Fantasy X may recognize it as using Overdrives if one were to compare it to something.
These abilities have a long charge-up time but can allow players to advantage over their enemies during battle.

1. Job system
This is the unique part of Bravely Default and what sets it apart from other RPGs. In addition to choosing your characters’ jobs at the beginning of the game, you’ll earn XP in a battle that will eventually allow you to switch out their job for a new one. Each character has up to five jobs that they can learn and change to.
2. Bravely Second Keywords
There are four types of Brave Points: white, black, yellow, and purple. The first three increase or decrease your parameters while active, while purple speeds up the action bar.
The maximum number of points you can obtain is 99 for each type, while the minimum is zero.
3. Level Caps
Level caps are set for each chapter in the game. While playing through them, you’ll unlock new jobs and abilities, making your characters more versatile and practical. As this happens, their stats will increase; however, they can only take so much before leveling does you no good.
4. Offline and Online Play
Bravely Default offers a lot of offline play, as you can complete the game without going online. However, there are some bonus features to be found in Astral Realms, so if you’re determined to get them all, then getting connected will prove helpful. (If not, it’s hardly necessary.)
5. Bravely Second is a new system introduced in bravely Default, which allows you to stop time by pressing the B button so that you can take your time deciding what move or spell to use.
Each character has their own bravely Second ability, such as Ringabel’s Memories of Friends, which lets you see what a person is thinking about; Agnes’ Prediction, which enables you to learn enemies’ stats and weaknesses; and Tiz’s Mimic, which allows him to use the same move as an enemy.
Bravely Default is an excellent game to play and enjoy with a lot of great features. If you’re interested in a new take on the traditional JRPG, then this is one you should try.
It also offers a nice change of pace from other games and opens up some attractive new options for future competitions on the 3DS. For these reasons alone, it’s worth checking out Bravely Default.
